‘Harmony’ started as an uninspiring mountain landscape in watercolor. Before abandoning it completely, I scanned the painting to focus on the colors and textures in the image. The result is inspired by cairns found along mountain hiking trails, using the visual elements of weight, size, color, and texture to create a well-balanced structure.
